About the Priscilla Scholarship
The Priscilla Scholarship is designed to support students who may face academic challenges but show strong potential, discipline, and talent in sports. At Standout Foundation, we believe that every child has a gift, and success does not always look the same for everyone. While some children may excel in the classroom, others may shine on the field, court, track, or in other sporting activities.
This scholarship recognizes and supports students who demonstrate passion, commitment, teamwork, leadership, and excellence in sports. It provides opportunities for children to develop their athletic abilities while remaining connected to their education. Through this support, students can receive assistance with school fees, sports materials, uniforms, training needs, and other resources that help them grow both academically and athletically.
The goal of this scholarship is to encourage children not to give up on themselves simply because they may struggle academically. Instead, it helps them discover their strengths, build confidence, and pursue a future where their talents can open doors for them. Why the Priscilla Scholarship Fund Was Created
The Priscilla Scholarship was created in honor of Founder Faith Ememodo’s late mother, Evangelist Prisicilla Chioma Emeh, whose memory continues to inspire strength, resilience, and purpose. Evangelist P.C Emeh was gifted in track sports, and that same athletic ability became part of Faith’s own story as she grew up.
As a child, Faith’s mother encouraged her and her siblings to run around their compound, turning simple childhood play into moments of strength, discipline, and joy. Those early experiences helped Faith develop a love for track sports. Running with her siblings and other children made her faster, stronger, and more confident.
Over time, running became more than just play for Faith; it became a source of confidence and identity. During her primary/elementary school years, Faith struggled academically and was not always seen as one of the brightest students in class. School was often challenging, and her grades did not always reflect her true potential. There were times when she even came second to last in class.However, sports became her place of strength. Track and relay races gave her confidence, visibility, and a sense of belonging. On the track, Faith felt safe, seen, and capable. It reminded her that even if she struggled in the classroom, she still had a gift that could make her shine.
