The Digital Divide Is Real
Digital learning access is especially important in today's world, yet the gap remains wide. UNICEF reports that two thirds of the world’s school-age children, about 1.3 billion children aged 3 to 17, do not have internet access at home, which limits their ability to participate fully in digital learning. The same source notes deep inequality, with children in low-income countries and poorer households far less likely to be connected.
