SRHR Education & Well-being

At Standout Foundation, we believe Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Education is an essential part of empowering children and young people with the knowledge, confidence, and life skills they need to make healthy and informed decisions. SRHR education helps young people understand their bodies, protect their well-being, build respectful relationships, practice good hygiene, and develop the confidence to speak up for their safety and future.

Globally, the need for SRHR education remains urgent. UNESCO states that comprehensive sexuality educaion equips children and young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values needed to protect their health, well-being, dignity, and rights. UNESCO also notes that quality sexuality education can help young people make informed decisions and reduce risky behaviors.

How We Deliver It

How We Deliver It

The gap is still wide. UNFPA explains that many young people still grow up without accurate, age-appropriate, and complete information about sexual and reproductive health, leaving them more vulnerable to misinformation, poor health outcomes, and unsafe decisions. WHO also notes that without comprehensive sexuality education, children and adolescents may be less prepared for puberty, healthy relationships, personal safety, and protecting themselves from health risks.

Technology as a Tool for Change

Technology as a Tool for Change

Through school outreach programs, Standout Foundation uses creative and youth-friendly tools such as animation, storytelling, interactive sessions, and educational campaigns to raise awareness on SRHR, menstrual health, hygiene, gender equality, personal safety, and personal development. These approaches make sensitive topics easier to understand, age-appropriate, and relatable for young people.

By combining education with innovative communication, Standout Foundation creates safe and supportive learning spaces where children and young people can ask questions, gain accurate knowledge, challenge stigma, and build confidence. This work is especially important for girls, children with disabilities, and young people in underserved communities who often face additional barriers to information, safety, and support.
